I had week stopover in NYC on my to Ireland. This time I got to explore some new places for photography, I had such a great time.
New york was looking very Christmassy, with decorations, music and hot chocolate for sale everywhere
I love the colors and variety in Lower Manhattan, Especially Chinatown, walking between Little Italy and Chinatown is like being transported to different countries.
Broadway after dark. Before photography I used to work a bit in theater. I love the feeling I get from theater spaces – magic waiting to happen.
The west Village- when I lived in New York during a summer in my college years I had a job waitressing in the West Village. That Summer was one of the best times of my life and New York is full of wonderful memories for me.
I love that there is a street in lower Manhattan that looks just like Dublin, my home town, and there is a Dubliner pub right there in the corner.
I met up with a bunch of wonderful photographers for a photowalk. After I took a sunset walk through central park. A romantic place even when alone 🙂
How cool is this place? The subway under the Trade Center area
The lighting around One World Trade Center looks very dramatic in the dark
And finally the Subway ride back to Brooklyn…
New York is such a wonderful city for photography, endlessly changing and full of interesting things to looks at, I will be back again soon, and am hoping for some nice snow to photograph 🙂
