I love Dublin at Christmas time, if there is anything Irish people know how to do is celebrate. The city is full of people wearing Christmas jumpers, there are carolers on Grafton street and the city is glowing with Christmas lights. The Saturday before Christmas is usually a day for the “12 pubs of Christmas” which is exactly what it sounds like, the streets are full of last minute shoppers, and there is music and good humour everywhere.

Bars and restaurants spilling onto the streets on South Anne St.
Glen Hansard, who in recent years has done a Chistmas eve busk on Grafton Street. Bono, Damien Rice, Sinead O’Connor, Damien Dempsey and many other of Ireland’s best musicians have been known to show up.
Taken this Christmas, O’Connell Bridge over the Liffey in the center of Dublin.
Videos I took when I was lucky enough to be front and center for one of the early years with Glen Hansard, Bono, Damien Rice and friends on Grafton St.
Happy Christmas wherever you are and whatever you celebrate!
